Moses, Troost-Ekong in CAF Player of the Year shortlist

Super Eagles pair of Victor Moses and Williams Troost-Ekong were included in a 30-man shortlist for the 2017 African Player of the Year award by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The nominees of the awards were announced on Wednesday on the CAF’s official website, including another shortlist drawn from players plying their trade in African countries.

Chelsea forward, Moses, and Bursaspor star, Troost-Ekong, were both part of the team that qualified Nigeria for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in a group consisting of African giants, Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.

CAF announced that the winners of the awards will be decided by votes from the head coaches/Technical Directors of African FAs, members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of media experts.
