Ndume: Protest rocks National Assembly
Hundreds of protesters are currently at the entrance to the National Assembly, challenging the suspension of the immediate-past Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume.
The protesters who converged on the gate as early as 9am, have blocked the major access route, leading to the National Assembly complex.
Lawmakers and other legislative aides, have now resorted to another entrance gate, leading through the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF).
As at the time of filing in this report, no one was on ground to address the protesters. The gates have been completely locked.
Ndume was suspended last Wednesday, following the submission of a report by the Senate committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, which indicted him.
