“He further confessed to interrogators that he led three herbalists to perform special rituals to secure Vampire’s rescue from the High Court in Owerri. He told detectives that the names of seven prison service officers were brought to him by Vampire’s brother to perfect the rituals that would disorganise and destabilise the officers during the rescue. They were given N200, 000 for the ritual and one week after the successful rescue, Vampire sent N500, 000 to him.”Reports say the herbalist who allegedly got the sum of N700, 000 to prepare rituals that destabilised prison officials during the court escape was arrested in his shrine at Asoeme Town in Aba, Abia State on Sunday according to police sources at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Vampire was killed last week after he was shot dead by security operatives under the command of Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari during a raid which saw the arrest of five other members of his gang namely Obinna Ela, Arinze Abecheta, Chukwu Ebuka, Samuel Ugochukwu and Clifford Aheana who were also arrested alive during the operation with catches of Arms and ammunition recovered from them.
Recall about two months ago, that Vampire while standing trial at an Imo state High Court was forcefully whisked away by his gang members who stormed the court during proceedings and started shooting into the air sporadically wounding several people and causing a stampede as there was no security operative on ground to engage the miscreants.
