After killing 3 for helping soldiers, Boko Haram abducts 10 in same village
The people of Kalari village in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, has again been attacked by the terrorist Boko Haram group, who abducted 10 villagers; four women and six youths.
This was disclosed in Maiduguri on Tuesday by the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Borno, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi.
He said that the insurgents also invaded Mittiri, Akalli and Arribbari villages all in the same LGA.
Abdullahi said, “Our intelligence report had indicated that the insurgents are now operating in Dalla Fatimiri on about 10 motorcycles.
“Our men of Anti-vandalism and Intelligence Unit of the Command on Friday reported the kidnapping of four youths in Kalari village in Konduga local government area.”
He further disclosed that, following the decimation of the number of the terrorist by Nigerian soldiers, that the remnants of the group are now desperately recruiting more youths to sustain their fight in the state.
“This is a clarion call to Nigerians to be on the alert at all times and always report any suspicious activities around them to the security agencies. Internally Displaced Persons who are desperate to return to their liberated communities should desist from living in areas that are not properly secured by armed personnel,” he said.
Recall that Kalari was also invaded by Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, who accused them of aiding the Nigerian military.
Kalari Abdiye village was said to have been invaded between 2:00 am and 3:00 am (0100-0200 GMT) on Saturday. The attack left three persons killed while one person was badly injured.
