Metuh: How assassins invaded my house
Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Wednesday lodged a report to the police in Abuja, disclosing how assassins invaded his house in attempt an to kill him.
According to him, the incident happened on Tuesday night at his house situated at Prince and Princess Estate, Abuja.
Metuh who made this known in a statement he issued through his Special Assistant, Mr. Richard Ihediwa, said he had called on the police to unearth the identity of those assassins.
He said the assassins armed to the teeth and about eight in number, fired several shots and forcefully gained entrance into his compound after they damaged a section of the house spiked security fence.
The armed men he said, tied up security guards and a driver at the premises and tried to gain access into the main building, but failed due to the security doors at the front and back entrances of the main house.
Metuh further explained that when the assassins saw there was no way they could gain entrance to the main building, they beat up the security guards, ordering them at gun point to phone him (Metuh) to come out.
“But the guards insisted that I was not at home, that I had travelled to the East.”
The assassins out of frustration broke into other buildings in the premises, including Chief Metuh’s out-office and carted away some documents and electronic equipment.
