TITHING DEBATE: Thank you for the “increase”, Pastor Adeboye’s son tells Daddy Freeze

Leke Adeboye, the last son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has thanked Cool FM’s Daddy Freeze for the increase in church activities owing to the furore and debate over payment of tithe.

Expressing his excitement at the seeming increase, Leke who also doubles as the Senior Personal Assistant of his dad, took to all his social media accounts to share a picture thank you message.

He wrote thus on the picture post; “Thank you Daddy Freeze for the following; “There has been a 33% increase in the amount of people paying their correct tithes, increase in the number persons visiting the personal website of EAADEBOYE.COM and sending him Emails and the amount of persons watching all messages from start to finish on any Pentecostal live events has increased. So I personally want to say thank you.”

Pastor Adeboye who appeared to be angry at the position of Daddy Freeze over tithing, said his attention was drawn to how the fair skinned radio personality said congregants should buy alcohol to drink with their tithes in churches.

Daddy Freeze criticised Pastor Adeboye over a recent televised sermon on “tithe & offering” when the clergyman said “the only reason we take offering at all is because, that’s the only way to get you out of poverty”.

Reacting to Pastor Adeboye’s sermon, Daddy Freeze took to social media to talk down such teachings when he said; “This is the kind of false preaching that probably plunged us into poverty in the first place! ~FRZ”

The radio personality who is the leader of ‘Free the sheeple’ movement in Nigeria commented further saying; “Paying tithe and giving offering to these guys WONT GET YOUR DUMB ASSES OUT OF POVERTY, there is a huge possibility that it’s what got you there in the first place! ~FRZ”
